- PLONKETESee Plunket. ————————PLUNKET, PLONKETEA cloth made in Wiltshire, Essex, Suffolk, and Norfolk, in Edward VI's time, also called verviers, tuskins and celestines. Plunket in the 15th century was the name of a blue colour, and recently a woollen fabric dyed blue had the name Plunket Azures.
